Bayern Munich has confirmed that Viessmann Generations Group will become the club's fourth minority shareholder through a capital increase. The family-owned business is acquiring the final available equity stake, giving it just under 6.7% ownership once completed. Bayern Munich eV will retain its controlling 70% stake, while the other three existing minority shareholders will each hold just under 7.8%.
According to a report from Bild, Bayern will receive approximately €250 million from the transaction, which will initially be placed into the club's fixed deposit account. As part of the agreement, Viessmann CEO Max Viessmann is expected to join Bayern's supervisory board, expanding the board from nine members to 10.
