Chelsea are reportedly leading the race for Trent Alexander-Arnold, but does the Real Madrid star fit the Blues’ system and justify a move?

Reports suggest Chelsea have been given the green light to pursue a permanent transfer for Real Madrid right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold. The 28-year-old former Liverpool player has reportedly struggled to secure regular playing time in Spain as Madrid contends with mixed form domestically and in Europe.
Writer James Fudge questions the move, arguing that although Alexander-Arnold offers exceptional passing and crossing, signing him could create tactical headaches. Fudge notes Chelsea already have right-sided options including Reece James, Josh Acheampong, and Marco Palestra.
