Cherries hierarchy adamant midfielder is best off at the Vitality but worried he has ‘stars in his eyes’
Bournemouth owner Bill Foley confirmed the club has not given up on signing midfielder Alex Scott to a new contract despite interest from Chelsea. Scott has rejected contract offers from the Cherries, prompting transfer speculation ahead of the January transfer window. Foley noted that while players sometimes get "stars in their eyes" about moving to clubs like Chelsea or Manchester City, Bournemouth remains convinced they are the right place for his development.
Bournemouth previously turned down a £64 million bid from Chelsea for Scott during the summer transfer window. However, the club has since softened its stance and would consider a permanent sale in January for at least £100 million, provided they remain confident of Premier League survival.
