Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Will Klein underwent surgery on Wednesday to remove bone chips and address a bone spur in his right elbow, the team announced. The right-hander is expected to recover in time for spring training after missing the final months of the season.
Klein landed on the injured list on August 1 with elbow discomfort and was later shifted to the 60-day injured list in September. Before the injury, he recorded a 3.67 ERA with 49 strikeouts across 41 2/3 innings in 36 appearances for Los Angeles.
