The Detroit Red Wings are reportedly recalling goaltender Michal Postava from their AHL affiliate, the Grand Rapids Griffins. Griffins head coach Dan Watson confirmed the move following Grand Rapids' 4-3 victory over the Manitoba Moose, stating the transaction is expected to become official the next day. The reason behind the recall remains unconfirmed, with no specific goaltender injuries announced by Detroit.
Postava has enjoyed an impressive start to the AHL season, compiling a 4-0-0 record with a 1.25 goals-against average and a .954 save percentage. Across 29 career regular-season starts in the Red Wings organization, Postava has posted a 21-6-0 record alongside four shutouts, following an eight-game playoff run with Grand Rapids last season.
