The Atlanta Falcons have parted ways with defensive back Malcolm DeWalt IV, releasing the undrafted free agent from the active roster on Thursday, the team announced.
The Atlanta Falcons announced on Thursday that they have released 24-year-old defensive back Malcolm DeWalt IV from their active roster. The undrafted free agent had initially secured a place on the team's 53-man roster following strong performances during preseason and training camp.
DeWalt played college football at Snow College, Butte College, and Akron before signing with Atlanta after the 2026 NFL Draft. If the rookie defensive back clears waivers, he could potentially return to the Falcons' practice squad or find opportunities with another team.
