Dele Alli was offered a way back into football by a former manager, but has now gone more than a year without playing a match…

Former MK Dons manager Karl Robinson believes Dele Alli's high self-belief may be preventing him from returning to football. Robinson revealed he offered the 30-year-old midfielder a contract at Salford City last season, but suggested Alli may need to lower his expectations regarding the level he can play at.
Alli has been without a club for more than a year following a brief spell with Italian side Como. Robinson stated he would still offer the former Tottenham Hotspur and England player an opportunity, emphasizing his support for Alli both personally and professionally.
