Real Sociedad equal their record European away win at Lillestrøm as Sergio Gómez becomes their top Europa League scorer

Real Sociedad earned their first Europa League league-phase victory of the campaign with a dominant 6-0 win against Lillestrøm at Åråsen Stadion. The result matched the Spanish club's record for their largest away victory in European history, equalling a 6-0 win at Vardar in 2017. Left-back Sergio Gómez scored two quick goals in the first half to become the club's top scorer in the competition this season.

Luka Sučić also netted twice, alongside additional goals from Orri Steinn Óskarsson and Arsen Zakharyan. Lillestrøm had an opportunity to pull a goal back early in the second half, but Thomas Lehne Olsen missed a 50th-minute penalty. The victory leaves Real Sociedad preparing to face Levante in LaLiga before hosting Lyon in their next European fixture.
