Cincinnati Reds outfielder Dane Myers faces an uncertain role in a crowded 2027 outfield mix following an offseason shoulder surgery. After joining Cincinnati via trade from the Marlins, Myers established himself through aggressive defensive play and effective hitting against left-handed pitchers, posting career highs across 117 games in 2026.
Myers underwent a procedure on his left shoulder AC joint and aims to return near the start of Spring Training. He will compete for playing time against returning players like JJ Bleday and prospects including Héctor Rodríguez and Carlos Jorge as the Reds evaluate outfield upgrades.
