Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder praises ‘leader’ Jack Robinson after Derby County move

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder praised former Blades captain Jack Robinson following the defender's recent move to Derby County. Robinson joined the Rams on a short-term contract on October 17 as the club navigates an ongoing injury crisis. Speaking ahead of Saturday's fixture between the two clubs, Wilder commended Robinson's leadership qualities and his overall contribution during his five-year tenure at Bramall Lane.

Derby County manager John Eustace confirmed that Robinson is still regaining full match fitness and will not feature against Sheffield United this weekend. Robinson made 162 appearances for United between 2020 and 2025 before his contract was terminated that summer. He subsequently spent the previous campaign at Birmingham City, playing 15 matches before departing as a free agent.
