Dylan Larkin has expanded his preferred destinations to ten Stanley Cup contenders, but salary cap constraints and high asking prices leave the Red Wings in a stalemate.

Former Detroit Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin has expanded his trade list to ten teams, which includes the Dallas Stars. After initially requesting a trade in early June, Larkin added Dallas alongside nine other franchises, such as the Florida Panthers, Minnesota Wild, and Colorado Avalanche. Although Larkin has remained active and played for Detroit this season, he continues to push for a permanent move away from the organization.
A potential deal remains complicated due to Larkin's $8.7 million annual salary-cap hit over the next four seasons. Several preferred suitors, including the Stars, face severe salary-cap limitations and lack the available assets Detroit desires in return. Dallas recently signed David Perron to cover injuries to Oskar Back and Matt Duchene, making an acquisition of Larkin financially difficult.
