The Minnesota Wild have announced that they placed defenseman Daemon Hunt on waivers as they integrate returning injured players back into their lineup. If Hunt clears waivers, Minnesota is expected to assign him to their AHL affiliate, the Iowa Wild.
Hunt, who was originally drafted 65th overall by the Wild in 2020, has been held scoreless across 11 games this season while averaging 14:08 of ice time per night. An AHL assignment would mark his first appearance in the minors since the 2024-25 season.
