Vogt shuns Mariners rumors, says he’ll manage Guardians in ’27

Cleveland Guardians manager Stephen Vogt announced he will return to the club next season, putting an end to speculation linking him to the Seattle Mariners' vacant managerial job. Vogt confirmed on Thursday that he has not been contacted by Seattle and intends to stay in Cleveland. Guardians president of baseball operations Chris Antonetti also voiced full support, expressing his expectation that Vogt will manage the team long-term.

Vogt addressed the challenge of living away from his family home in Washington, but reiterated his commitment following an ALCS exit against Tampa Bay. Additionally, Cleveland confirmed that 65-year-old pitching coach Carl Willis will return next season, while Vogt explained that pitcher Tanner Bibee's limited postseason action was a tactical choice to favor left-handed pitchers.
