The Story in 60 Seconds

Duncan Ferguson has returned to managerial management after signing a multi-year contract with Northern Irish Premiership club Glentoran. The 54-year-old former Everton and Rangers striker begins his tenure at The BetMcLean Oval on Saturday against Ballymena United. Ferguson aims to rebuild his coaching career following difficult spells at Forest Green Rovers and Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Despite a successful stint as a World Cup television pundit for ITV, Ferguson opted to return to the dugout after consulting with Sam Allardyce. Glentoran currently sit third in the league table, eleven points behind leaders Coleraine, as Ferguson looks to lead the Belfast club toward their first league title since 2009.
