Luke O'Nien has told his Sunderland team-mates to stick to the principles that earned them so much success last season ahead of Leeds United game…
Luke O'Nien has urged Sunderland to stick to the principles that brought them previous success as they seek to improve their domestic league form. The Black Cats host Leeds United at the Stadium of Light sitting bottom of the Premier League with just one win in seven games, contrasting with their strong Europa League start of seven points from three matches.
O'Nien is expected to start against Leeds following Kevin Danso's suspension from a red card during a 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth. The defender also praised 21-year-old Ukrainian forward Timur Tutierov, who scored his first Sunderland goal in a 1-1 European draw in Poznan.
