IBF heavyweight champion Filip Hrgovic has named Moses Itauma as perhaps the best fighter he has ever faced, ranking him above former opponent Daniel Dubois in terms of skill. Speaking to Ariel Helwani, Hrgovic praised Itauma's speed, timing, and boxing IQ despite noting that he does not possess the punching power of Dubois, Zhilei Zhang, or David Adeleye.
Hrgovic won the IBF world title in August by recovering from an early knockdown to stop Itauma in the ninth round. The Croatian previously suffered an eighth-round stoppage loss due to cuts against Dubois in 2024, after which Dubois went on to become a two-time heavyweight world champion.
