India batter Ishan Kishan has been ruled out of the third T20I against New Zealand due to a low-grade right adductor strain. The injury had previously sidelined him for the second match of the five-game series. According to reports from journalist Nitin K Srivastav, Kishan aims to make a comeback for the final two games of the bilateral tour.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India has named Kumar Kushagra as cover for the injured batter. In Kishan's absence, 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was included in the playing XI for the second T20I under captain Shreyas Iyer, following India's record run chase of 226 in the opening match.
