There was huge concern on the pitch in Tokyo after a serious injury to centre Bell…

Play was halted for over six minutes during Wales Women's match against Japan at Prince Chichibu Memorial Stadium in Tokyo after centre Freya Bell suffered a serious leg injury. In the 52nd minute, Bell went down clutching her leg following a clear-out at a ruck, requiring immediate on-pitch medical attention from both teams' staff before being stretchered off.
Wales co-captain Alex Callender comforted Bell on the field during the stoppage. Prior to the injury, Bell had converted Seren Lockwood's opening try to give Wales a 7-0 lead, leaving head coach Sean Lynn facing significant concern over the young player's condition.
