49ers receivers Mike Evans and Deebo Samuel Sr., and defensive end Nick Bosa are among a half dozen players who have been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Falcons.

The San Francisco 49ers have ruled out wide receiver Mike Evans, defensive end Nick Bosa, and wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. for Sunday's matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. Evans is sidelined with Achilles tendinitis, Bosa remains out with a calf injury, and Samuel is dealing with a hamstring issue. None of the three players participated in practice this week ahead of the team's upcoming Week 8 bye.
To address severe roster attrition at wide receiver, the 49ers are set to activate veteran Christian Kirk from injured reserve. Head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed Kirk is expected to play after releasing defensive end Ogbo Okoronkwo to clear a roster spot. Shanahan noted that due to extensive injuries, San Francisco will likely dress fewer than the maximum 48 players on game day.
