Chelsea are widely expected to beat fierce rivals Spurs in the Premier League on Saturday, but is the choice of referee a cause for concern?

Chris Kavanagh has been appointed as the referee for Chelsea's upcoming Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge. While fourth-placed Chelsea hold a dominant home record against Tottenham, writer Ben Gray highlights concerns regarding the Blues' poor historical form under the 41-year-old official.
Chelsea have lost their last three matches officiated by Kavanagh and have won only four of the last 15 fixtures he has overseen. The referee has also dismissed two Chelsea players, Reece James and Wesley Fofana, across recent seasons.
