Sunderland return to Premier League action with a home game against Leeds United on Sunday afternoon.

Pundit Chris Sutton compared Sunderland defender Nordi Mukiele's recent remarks to public criticisms made by Manchester United players ahead of Sunderland's Premier League clash with Leeds United. Mukiele had suggested Sunderland were arrogant following a defeat at Bournemouth that left them bottom of the table, drawing parallels to Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes and Lisandro Martinez questioning club tactics and transfers.
Writing for BBC Sport, Sutton stated that Mukiele's comments would not be as damaging as the Manchester United outburst, though he advised keeping such issues internal. Sutton predicted a 1-1 draw between Sunderland and Leeds at the Stadium of Light, noting that striker Brian Brobbey is set to return from injury for Regis Le Bris' side.
