Arsenal defender Ezri Konsa praised his center-back partner Gabriel Magalhaes following their 2-0 Premier League victory over Everton at Emirates Stadium on Saturday. Konsa scored his first goal for the club in the seventh minute, while Gabriel marked his 200th Premier League appearance for the Gunners with a second-half header. Speaking after the match, Konsa called Gabriel a top player and person who has made his transition seamless.
Gabriel also registered seven clearances and won four duels to neutralize Everton's attack. The defensive pairing has flourished during the absence of William Saliba, who continues his recovery from a back injury sustained at the World Cup. Arsenal next faces Fleetwood Town in the Carabao Cup before traveling to Liverpool in league play.
