Jordan Walsh has proven enough to deserve rotation minutes for the Boston Celtics, but putting him in the starting lineup was an interesting choice! It hasn't been bad to start, but there are some questions.

Writer Matt John analyzes Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla's decision to insert Jordan Walsh into the starting lineup. While the move came as a surprise given other available bench options, Walsh earned the role primarily for his individual perimeter defense against top opposing scorers like Cade Cunningham and Jalen Brunson.
However, John argues that starting Walsh brings complications due to his offensive limitations in shot creation and perimeter shooting. Despite these concerns, Boston's starting unit with Walsh has posted an impressive plus-42.1 net rating across their first 17 minutes together.
