The Story in 60 Seconds

The NFL fined four Carolina Panthers players a combined $30,694 for infractions committed during their Week 6 road victory against the Philadelphia Eagles. Tight end Tommy Tremble received an $11,941 fine for taunting, while teammates Will Lee and Zakee Wheatley were also fined for taunting. Feleipe Franks was penalized $6,750 for an illegal blindside block during the contest.

Carolina accounted for three of the league's four taunting penalties issued for Week 6. The punishments followed a game where Carolina committed 13 total penalties, which head coach Dave Canales publicly criticized as outrageous. Tremble admitted he should not have retaliated following a touchdown celebration before Carolina's upcoming game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
