Matt Youson takes a look at the different pit stop and tyre options that are available to the teams on race day at the Circuit of The Americas.

Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli secured pole position in qualifying for the United States Grand Prix at COTA, keeping himself in contention to potentially clinch the World Championship. To secure the title in Austin, Antonelli requires a victory alongside other favorable race outcomes. Max Verstappen and Lando Norris had earlier topped the timesheets in Q2 and Q1 respectively.
Race analysis indicates fierce competition at the front, with the top four teams separated by only 0.12 seconds on long-run pace. While Verstappen appears to pose the strongest threat for the win, Circuit of the Americas provides strong overtaking opportunities and room for strategic tactical variations across the field.
