Sharks assistant coach Joey Mongalo says Lili Bester had to learn humility before he could become the wing now lighting up the Sharks’ season.

Sharks assistant coach Joey Mongalo praised 23-year-old wing Lili Bester, stating that the young player is setting the world alight after learning humility at the senior level. Bester has made a significant impact for the team whenever selected this season, highlighted by an impressive performance against Lyon in the EPCR Challenge Cup.
Mongalo explained that while Bester was a superstar at the school and junior levels, adjusting to senior coaching styles and team structures took time. After adapting to the tougher competition and finding his footing, the winger has established himself as an impactful contributor in both the Challenge Cup and United Rugby Championship.
