Hawies Fourie has appointed two former Springboks to his Boland Cavaliers coaching staff to fill the gap left by Pote Human’s departure to the Bulls.

Boland Cavaliers head coach Hawies Fourie has appointed former Springboks BJ Botha and Andries Bekker to his coaching staff. Botha has already spent three weeks overseeing scrums, while Bekker has been named lineout coach and is set to join the squad in Wellington in November. The appointments follow the departure of assistant coach Pote Human, who was released early to join the Bulls.
Bekker previously coached the Bulls forwards before working in Russia with Strela-Agro Kazan following his exit after Johan Ackermann's arrival. Botha, who earned 25 Test caps for South Africa between 2006 and 2010, founded his own scrum academy after his playing career ended.
