Sheffield Wednesday were beaten 2-0 by Doncaster Rovers at Club Doncaster Sports Village on Saturday afternoon.

Doncaster Rovers manager Grant McCann revealed his squad prepared for multiple tactical systems ahead of their 2-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday. Wednesday manager Henrik Pedersen began the match in a 3-5-2 setup, but McCann noted that Doncaster had specifically worked on facing both that shape and a 4-2-3-1 formation during training.
Doncaster seized early control as Owen Bailey scored two goals within the first 16 minutes at Club Doncaster Sports Village. The quick deficit prompted Pedersen to revert to a 4-2-3-1 setup, but Doncaster maintained control to secure the victory.
