James Maddison saw his injury woes continue as he was forced off in the Premier League clash against Chelsea with a fresh problem…

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder James Maddison suffered a fresh injury setback after limping off early in the second half against Chelsea. The 29-year-old went down on his haunches in the 51st minute, prompting referee Chris Kavanagh to halt play before physios treated him. Manager Roberto De Zerbi quickly substituted Maddison, bringing on Conor Gallagher at Stamford Bridge.
The setback comes shortly after Maddison made his first start in nearly 18 months following a previous ACL injury. The midfielder had scored against Coventry City earlier in the week, but this new problem adds to Tottenham's ongoing fitness concerns alongside absences for Xavi Simons and Dejan Kulusevski.
