The defeat put an end to Barcelona’s nine-game winning start to the league season and came on the back of its 2-4 loss against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League in midweek.
Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick stated that his team lacked freshness following their 1-2 defeat to Real Madrid at Spotify Camp Nou on Sunday. The El Clasico loss concluded Barcelona's nine-game winning streak to start the LaLiga season, coming directly after a 2-4 Champions League defeat against Paris Saint-Germain.
Flick acknowledged the demanding travel schedule between Seville, Paris, and Barcelona, but emphasized that he will not accept excuses for the dip in form. Despite consecutive losses, the manager maintained confidence, insisting that no doubts have crept into the dressing room as they focus on improvements.
