La Rochelle have offered former England winger Jack Nowell a new one-year contract with an option for a second year. Head coach Ronan O'Gara is keen to retain the 33-year-old, whose current deal expires at the end of the season, though reports indicate Nowell would prefer a straight two-year contract.
Nowell's name has also been circulated among clubs in England and Japan, but he is scheduled to hold further talks with La Rochelle in the coming weeks. Additionally, the French club has offered identical contract terms to former Springbok back Dillyn Leyds.
