Kyle Shanahan joined a media call following the 49ers Week 7 matchup vs. the Atlanta Falcons to provide injury updates and discuss the team's performance.

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed that running back Christian McCaffrey suffered a mild hamstring strain in Sunday's 29-20 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Speaking to reporters ahead of the team's Week 8 bye, Shanahan expressed optimism regarding McCaffrey's recovery and availability after the break, noting that further evaluation revised the initial thigh diagnosis to a hamstring issue.
Shanahan also reviewed the Week 7 defeat, highlighting four costly turnovers and praising touchdown runs from McCaffrey and rookie Kaelon Black. Additionally, several players including Nick Bosa and Deebo Samuel Sr. could return post-bye, while general manager John Lynch continues assessing trade deadline options.
