Sunderland defender Trai Hume has revealed that the squad held internal dressing-room talks to address their difficult start to the Premier League season. Speaking after Sunderland ended a four-match losing streak with a 0-0 draw against Leeds United, Hume promised supporters that the team will show aggression, press effectively, and fight to represent the club going forward.
The goalless draw moved manager Régis Le Bris's side onto five points from eight games. Hume stated that the players accepted full responsibility for their earlier below-par performances, noting that their defensive resilience against Leeds marked a positive step toward meeting expectations.
