Opposition injury news from CoventryLive as Sunderland hopeful of two returns for Saturday's trip to the CBS Arena…

Sunderland manager Régis Le Bris is hopeful that Thomas Meunier and Wilson Isidor could return ahead of the upcoming match against Frank Lampard's Coventry City. Both players sustained injuries in a 2-0 defeat to Brighton two weeks ago, but recently resumed individual training at the Academy of Light.
Meunier could feature from the bench against Brentford in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, paving the way for a weekend start. Meanwhile, Isidor may also be in contention to feature among the substitutes, though Sunderland will remain without Romaine Mundle and defender Ballard due to longer-term injuries.
