SPOTLIGHT: Assistant coach Wessel Roux insists the Lions will enter their final tour match in survival mode after facing a different set of challenges over the past couple of weeks.
Assistant coach Wessel Roux stated the Lions will enter their final tour match against Glasgow Warriors in survival mode. The Johannesburg side concludes their European tour on Friday at Scotstoun Stadium in Round Five of the United Rugby Championship, following an emotionally challenging period marked by the death of lock Hyron Andrews and a recent 10-31 defeat to Edinburgh.
Roux acknowledged that the squad is working hard to rebuild confidence while dealing with the tragedy. He emphasized the importance of improving set-piece accuracy against Franco Smith's unbeaten Glasgow team and confirmed that lock Etienne Oosthuizen is available after an injury scare.
