Chelsea are leading the race to sign Bournemouth midfield mainstay Alex Scott amid interest from rivals Liverpool.
Chelsea are reportedly leading the race ahead of Liverpool to secure the permanent signing of Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott in the January transfer window. The 23-year-old English midfielder is expected to leave the Vitality Stadium after declining a new contract offer, with Bournemouth prepared to allow him to choose his next destination.
Chelsea view Scott as a key target to reinforce their midfield following Enzo Fernandez's summer departure to Manchester City. Meanwhile, Bournemouth have already begun contingency planning to replace Scott, showing interest in Dutch midfielders Kees Smit and Kenneth Taylor.
