The New York Giants have placed running back Tyrone Tracy on injured reserve due to a hamstring injury sustained against the Houston Texans. To fill the open roster spot, general manager Joe Schoen signed rookie running back Greg Derosiers Jr. off the Los Angeles Chargers practice squad. In addition, the Giants signed veteran defensive lineman Dean Lowry to their practice squad.
Tracy's injury is not viewed as long-term, though he will miss at least the next four weeks during games against the Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Commanders, and Jacksonville Jaguars. Derosiers, an undrafted free agent from Memphis, brings versatility as a runner, pass catcher, and kick returner to bolster the team's depth.
