Canadiens and Sabres have interest in Dylan Larkin, but neither is on his trade list. Here’s what it could mean for Detroit.

The Montreal Canadiens and Buffalo Sabres are reportedly interested in acquiring Detroit Red Wings center Dylan Larkin, according to The Athletic's Chris Johnston. However, neither team is currently included on Larkin's approved list of 10 clubs to which he is willing to waive his no-trade clause. Johnston reported that Larkin may need to expand his approved destinations to help Detroit secure an acceptable return in a trade.
The ongoing situation in Detroit remains tense, with Larkin still desiring a trade while facing booing from Red Wings fans at Little Caesars Arena. Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes reportedly has a potential trade package ready if Larkin approves Montreal, while Buffalo has also engaged in discussions with Detroit.
