There are no hard feelings between Daniel Cormier and Sean O'Malley.
Sean O'Malley admitted that he previously questioned whether UFC commentator Daniel Cormier disliked him or wanted him to lose. The tension emerged after Cormier asked Petr Yan about fighting Song Yadong following Yan's bantamweight title defense against Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 333 in Abu Dhabi, prompting criticism from O'Malley and his coach, Tim Welch.
Cormier hosted O'Malley on his YouTube channel to clear the air, clarifying that production instructed him to mention Song because he was in attendance and on camera. O'Malley accepted the explanation, noting that extensive commentating hours can naturally lead to unintended remarks.
