The Story in 60 Seconds

Portsmouth head coach John Mousinho has ruled out sending midfielder Mark Kosznovszky out on loan as he prepares to return from a long-term knee injury. The 24-year-old Hungarian has been sidelined since December 2025 after suffering ACL and MCL damage against Charlton Athletic, but Mousinho confirmed that the club plans to integrate him directly into the first-team squad around late December or January.

Kosznovszky has resumed light non-contact grass training and passing drills while working through the final stages of his rehabilitation alongside Joe Morrell. Mousinho praised the midfielder's resilience throughout his recovery, emphasizing that the player showed encouraging Championship form before the injury and remains firmly in Portsmouth's future plans.
