The Story in 60 Seconds

Sunderland manager Régis Le Bris has received a selection boost as defender Kevin Danso is eligible to play against Brentford in Wednesday's Carabao Cup clash. Although Danso played in the competition for parent club Tottenham Hotspur earlier this season, recent EFL rule changes permit players to feature for up to two clubs in the same campaign.

Tottenham included no restrictions in Danso's loan agreement to block his participation, leaving the Austria international cleared to feature. The center-back could return to action after serving a suspension that kept him out of Sunderland's recent goalless Premier League draw against Leeds United.
