Jones previously recorded 20 receptions for 267 yards in 19 appearances with the Cardinals before tearing his Achilles in 2025. Arizona also worked out receivers James Proche, Xavier Guillory, and Ronnie Bell, alongside quarterback Jack Plummer, to bolster their depth behind active receivers Simi Fehoko, Reggie Virgil, and Devin Duvernay.
