Red Bull has responded to the suggestion that it become a power unit provider for Aston Martin, amid the Silverstone-based team's torrid first F1 season with Honda.

Red Bull team principal Laurent Mekies has denied that serious conversations are taking place regarding supplying rival Formula 1 teams with power units. While addressing recent speculation linking Aston Martin with a switch to Red Bull Powertrains by 2028, Mekies noted that the team does not currently feel ready to supply an additional customer, though he did not rule out future partnerships.
Red Bull's fledgling engine program, developed alongside Ford, has drawn significant interest across the paddock after exceeding initial expectations. Mekies stated that the organization remains focused on improving the power unit and its vehicle integration alongside Racing Bulls before considering supplying any further teams.
