The Story in 60 Seconds

Fabrizio Romano revealed that Liverpool aggressively tried to sign winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Napoli in January 2025, but the player ultimately chose Paris Saint-Germain. Speaking to DAZN, Romano explained that despite strong interest from both Liverpool and Chelsea, Kvaratskhelia was convinced by PSG's ambitious project. The winger subsequently completed a permanent transfer to the French giants, where he has since won two Champions League titles.

Chelsea reportedly considered including Mykhailo Mudryk in negotiations with Napoli before missing out. Kvaratskhelia went on to register 29 goals and 20 assists in 91 appearances for PSG, though he recently suffered an ACL rupture against Barcelona. The Empire of the Kop notes that Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola currently holds depth on the left wing, including Bradley Barcola, Cody Gakpo, Rio Ngumoha, and Victor Munoz.
