The big Burnley squad headache facing Nicky Hayen's successor…
Matt Scrafton of the Burnley Express reports that Nicky Hayen's successor faces a major squad headache following the manager's dismissal. Hayen was sacked after winning just one of his 12 league matches, concluding with a 4-1 defeat to Lincoln City. The Clarets were without 15 first-team players for that fixture, with Armando Broja suffering a groin injury and Kyle Walker also picking up an issue during the match.
Burnley's injury list remains extensive, including Ben Amos, Jordan Beyer, Bashir Humphreys, Shurandy Sambo, Hannibal, Aaron Ramsey, Jacob Bruun Larsen, Mike Tresor, Michael Obafemi, Zeki Amdouni, and Jamie Vardy. However, Anel Ahmedhodzic is expected to return against Portsmouth after completing concussion protocols, while Josh Cullen and Jaydon Banel recently returned to action with the Under-21 squad.
