The Stormers have no concerns about Bongi Mbonambi’s Sharks history and will help accelerate the Springbok’s return to action as he pursues a third World Cup next year.

Stormers head coach John Dobson stated that his club has had an extremely positive experience with Bongi Mbonambi following the hooker's return on a one-year deal. The 35-year-old Springbok rejoined the Stormers after ending his tenure with the Sharks following a disciplinary dispute, providing immediate injury cover at Cape Town Stadium against Ulster.
Dobson explained that the Sharks expedited Mbonambi's release and that the Stormers are eager to accelerate his return to match fitness ahead of an upcoming break. While acknowledging Mbonambi has not yet played a competitive match this season, Dobson praised his elite set-piece abilities and professional history with the team.
