Joselyne Edwards will serve as the backup fighter for the UFC bantamweight championship bout between Kayla Harrison and Amanda Nunes. The matchup is set as the co-main event for UFC 334, which takes place on November 12 at Madison Square Garden in New York. Edwards will weigh in to step in if either competitor is unable to fight.
The title clash was initially planned for January but was delayed 10 months following Harrison's neck surgery. Nunes chose to wait for Harrison rather than compete for an interim belt. Edwards earned the backup assignment following a five-fight winning streak, most recently defeating Norma Dumont by decision.
