The latest injury afflicting the Ottawa Senators may leave the organization with little choice but to figure out a more permanent move.

Ottawa Senators forward Warren Foegele suffered a knee injury during Tuesday night's game against Vegas, adding to the team's ongoing injury troubles. There is currently no official timeline for Foegele's recovery, but insider Bruce Garrioch reported that Ottawa will likely recall a forward from their AHL affiliate in Belleville ahead of Thursday's matchup against the Los Angeles Kings.
Nestor Quixtan of SenShot suggests the injury could eventually push general manager Steve Staios to explore the trade market for a top-nine offensive forward. However, Quixtan notes that acquiring scoring depth early in the season will be challenging and costly, despite hypothetical interest in players like Bryan Rust or Rickard Rakell.
