Manson took a weird hit in the first period and struggled to get off the ice and to the locker room.

Colorado Avalanche defenseman Josh Manson will miss some time after suffering a lower-body injury, head coach Jared Bednar announced. The injury took place late in the first period of Wednesday's 5-2 victory against the New Jersey Devils following an awkward hit. Manson had to be helped down the tunnel and did not return to the contest.
The team expects to provide a clearer recovery timeline following diagnostic tests during their current home stand. Manson has recorded four points in 13 games this season, and defenseman Noah Juulsen is expected to enter the lineup in his absence ahead of Saturday's matchup against the Calgary Flames.
