There are quite a few captains as good as Rohit Sharma. Think of this: you take over the captaincy in the middle of the season and end up winning the tournament. That’s exactly what happened with Rohit in IPL 2013…

Rohit Sharma stands as one of the most successful captains in Indian Premier League history, having guided the Mumbai Indians to five IPL titles and one Champions League T20 crown. After taking over captaincy midway through the 2013 campaign, Rohit led Mumbai to 87 IPL victories in 158 matches, recording a 55.06 percent win rate.
Across his tenure as Mumbai Indians captain, Rohit scored 3,986 IPL runs, the third-highest tally by a skipper in the competition. His captaincy record includes winning three tournament finals against Chennai Super Kings and securing back-to-back championships in 2019 and 2020.
